We're continuing work on Piers 1 and 2 including forming concrete and installing rebar on these park features. We are excited to start placing the concrete slabs for the base on Pier 1 and are hoping to pour the final slab by the end of May.

We’ve also installed some of the initial mechanical, electrical and plumbing components of the food (pictured) and shop buildings, and will begin to form and pour the concrete foundations for these buildings in the weeks to come.

Additional upcoming work includes shoring Shipwright's Cottage so that we can lift the building to begin foundation work. We anticipate approval for shoring by the end of the month.

In addition, check out the latest episode of OpenRoad, which focuses on restoration efforts for the San Francisco Bay. It highlights the India Basin Waterfront Park Project as a shining example of the environmental work needed for our region's defining natural feature. Rec and Park General Manager Phil Ginsburg and APRI Executive Director Jacqueline Flin are interviewed on the project's construction progress and Equitable Development Plan efforts.
