Come out to the Community Innovation Lab at India Basin Shoreline Park (Hunters Point Boulevard and Hawes Street) for a do it yourself empowerment event series where community unity thrives through shared creativity, discovery and play. It will take place from August 12 to 16 from 1 to 5 p.m. and will encourage fixing, upscaling, crafting and playing together through STEM activities and projects. The event is brought to you by the India Basin Waterfront Park Project partners, Culture of Repair, and the Randall Museum.

Don't forget to bring your own gear and appliances to repair.

Schedule of Events:

Monday: Bike Bonanza Cruise over to repair that leaky tube, tighten those brakes or just clean the chain. A maintained bike is a safe bike!

Tuesday: Home Revival Make that house, flat, apartment or any space a home with some creativity and maker skills. Come and learn how to upscale furniture, properly patch and paint walls or create your own unique decoration.

Wednesday: Urban Garden Grow Fest Herbs and veggies can grow just about anywhere! Discover the joy of raising your own food and enjoy some offerings from local farms!

Thursday: Fashion Soiree Turn those holes and tears into couture fashion. Build your brand or just darn your socks with other creative minds.

Friday: Skate Jam Oil your bearings, adjust the trucks and paint a deck to ride at our mobile park.
