The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department seeks proposals for a three-year interim program activation and management of the newly constructed Food Pavilion within the park, scheduled to open in September 2024. Respondents should propose ideas to activate the Food Pavilion between 2024 until the completion of India Basin Waterfront Park in 2027 emphasizing community engagement and responsible stewardship through culinary education, workforce development, food entrepreneurship, youth/young adults initiatives, and weekend community pop-up gatherings that will benefit residents of the Bayview-Hunters Point and visitors from San Francisco. India Basin Waterfront Park and this RFP are influenced by the principles of the Equitable Development Plan (EDP), in collaboration with diverse stakeholders from the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood.
