Join community partners for a Black History Month parade and community celebration on Saturday, February 18. The parade begins at 11 a.m. at the Bayview Opera House (4705 3rd Street) and ends at the Southeast Community Center (1550 Evans Avenue) where there will be a community celebration featuring food, entertainment, kid zone and more! As part of the community celebration, join the San Francisco Arts Commission and India Basin Waterfront Park project partners to provide both feedback on the proposed public art designs for India Basin Shoreline Park, as well as an opportunity to tell personal stories of the neighborhood for historical purposes. We will have an outreach table set up with an emcee, graphic recorder, and video/audio crew to collect community stories that #shareyourblackexperience.
